Meet Sophia
As a performing artist, Sophia April has developed a strong sense of self-discipline and commitment to her growth. She will be attaining her BFA in Musical Theatre in May 2025 from Lynn University.
Sophia’s amazing theatrical skills, leadership experience, and professional disposition will help her ultimately pursue a very successful career in the Arts one day, both in performance and management. It was a rewarding opportunity living through the character of “Fanny Brice” in the musical Funny Girl because her ambition, vulnerability, and humor make her a relatable figure in every generation.
Sophia’s personal goal is to cultivate her own space and theatre house, complete with a season that will test her directorial capacities as well as offer platforms for other creative voices too. She is willing to inspire future artists in the making and foster dialogue within the community through the art that is produced. Sophia’s passion for all things theatre and voice makes her shine onstage. She brings wisdom beyond her years to the spaces she inhabits.
